Pastor
Pastor Charles joined our staff on April 16, 2023. He is a former pastor at Woodlawn Baptist Church in the Augusta area and came to Hillcrest from a church in Oklahoma where he served as Associate Pastor. Pastor Tony is graduate of Shorter University and Luther Rice Seminary. He and his wife, Lesha, have three children and four grandchildren.

judy ramsey
Interim Minister of Music/Communications Director
Judy began her current ministry at Hillcrest in 2018. Formerly, she had served at Hillcrest as organist. Prior to beginning her work here, she served as a Church Communications Specialist for the South Carolina Baptist Convention in Columbia, SC. She has also served at First Baptist Church Augusta as a Music Assistant for Children and as Church Webmaster/Receptionist. Judy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with an emphasis in Internet Management from Limestone College. She is a member of First Baptist Church Augusta where she is active in the Music Ministry; she is also a member of the Baptist Communicators Association with members across the United States.

chris hobbs
Ministry Assistant
Chris worked full time as a ministry assistant at Hillcrest from 1999-2018. She retired in November 2019. She came out of retirement to work at Hillcrest in April 2021 in a part-time secretarial position. Chris has a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from Brenau College. She attends and is an active member of First Baptist Church, North Augusta where she serves and volunteers. She also has three grown stepchildren , eight grandchildren, and a great grandson to keep her busy!

David keel
Financial Assistant
David has been overseeing the finances of Hillcrest Baptist Church and School for the last six years. Previously he served as the CFO and COO of the National Science Center. After graduating from Augusta College with a BS in Chemistry, David worked in research for several industries before joining the science center. He has also served as Minister to Students in different churches in the CSRA. He and his wife of 40 plus years are members of First Baptist Church of Augusta where they are active in the student ministry. They have three grown daughters and six grandchildren.
